These are two types of tea that have been popular recently, their uses and cooking methods are different as well as the unique flavor of each type suitable for each specific recipe and method. Therefore, users need to clearly distinguish it to avoid confusion while mixing. Are you ready to learn more about these two types?

There are ways to distinguish types of tea as follows:

✤ OXYGEN CONCENTRATION

Different oxygen concentrations will greatly affect the scent and taste of tea. You will notice that the water that is affected by oxidation often has black or dark water. As for the light yellow green hybrid tea, it is not oxidized.

Differences in processing make tea leaves have different forms. During the brewing step, green tea is only stir-fried in a hot pan and then cooled quickly, thus retaining its green color.

Unlike green tea, black tea is like between heaven and earth. It will undergo an oxidative fermentation process. That process will convert the enzyme and the leaf color will darken. During the transition from the lush green leaf, it somewhat darkens and creates Theaflavins, this is also the ingredient that makes the flavor more haunting.

✤ AMOUNT OF CAFFEIN

Usually dark teas contain  more caffeine than green teas. Specifically, green tea contains about 24-40 mg of caffeine and about 14-61 mg in each cup of black tea.

Green tea powder, when talking about it, you know it is made from ingredients. The main ingredients in the products often contain young tea leaves and tea buds, without going through many complicated processes, so the nutritional values are kept intact.

Origin comes from Japan, seeing that the drink is good for health, people have spread it widely.

What is matcha powder?

Ingredients include 100% young tea buds, going through a particularly complex, delicate process such as using steam to steam and wind to dry the product, then removing the veins of the leaves to grind into fine powder.
